Freedom of information and data protection
We believe that open and accountable decision-making is the cornerstone of good regulation and welcome the Freedom of Information Act, which gives individuals the right to access information held by the Council and other public bodies. We have an approved publication scheme, which is available here. This sets out what kind of information we hold and how you can access it.
You can view our Information Charter here.
If you want to make a request for information held by the Council, please either email or write to Freedom of Information requests, Hearing Aid Council, 70 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8BD.
The Council’s Director of Policy and Communication has corporate responsibility for dealing with freedom of information requests and will deal with your request. We will normally contact you, to help and advise on the information we hold to ensure that your request is met. The Director will respond to you and provide the information you have requested, in line with the Council’s publication scheme. If you are unhappy with the response at this stage, you can complain to the Council’s Chief Executive and Registrar.
